Day 2...

The person you have been closest with the longest...

I only have a few really close friends but, the one I've been closest to the LONGEST would have to be...




My cousin Kimber :)

Kimber and i have ALWAYS been really close. When we were younger we would spend HOURS playing barbies, doing each others make-up, singing karaoke haha, Disneyland trips, and SO much more :) A little while after moving out here to Arizona, she moved out here and we had a blast along with Lindsay :) And before i married Max, she was my singles ward buddy (she actually was there when i met him). She has been there for a lot of big moments for me.

She even caught the bouquet at my wedding :)





I just love her to pieces!

The 30 Day Challenge

A few of my friends are doing the 30 day challenge. They say that it makes them more thankful for what they have and think back on some fun memories. who doent want that? so, i wanna do this challenge :) People usually do it on facebook but i wannna keep mine a bit more private... I'm gonna try to keep up on it... Lets see if i can...

DAY 1 - A picture of yourself with 10 random or unknown facts



I'll try to be as random as i can haha

1. i dont like nuts or raisins. i can eat peanuts just by themselves but NEVER in anything. Dont know why.

2. i get VERY clausterphobic. When i watch a movie with someone in a tight spot, i cant breathe. There was also one time when my friend taped up my fingers together and i started hyperventalating haha its weird, i know lol

3. I had been planning my wedding since i was like 5 years old (before i even knew u needed a groom haha) but then when it came to my wedding, i basically had friends and family take over.

4. When i first met my husband, i was totally attracted to him but after talking to eachother for a bit (cause we r both very sarcastic) we couldnt stand eachother. we just ignored eachother at church and at other activities after that. it took us another couple weeks before we even spoke to eachother again. We finally started talking at a party and realized there was a spark :) been together ever since...

5. i faint when i get 2 hot or when i have my hands above my head 2 long haha its especially bad when i take a shower (with it being hot AND i have to have my arms up to wash my hair) When i wash my hair, i have to do it in steps to i can put my hands down for a bit lol

i'm probably sounding like a huge freak right now haha i swear im pretty normal...

6. I've ACCIDENTLY killed a few of my family pets when i was younger. nothing like a dog or anything but my mom bought me and my sisters rats and before we even turned on the car to go home, i squeezed it :( i was young and just got 2 excited. my family also had a bird named Ollie that i did the same thing to. i was so young i dont remember it but apparently i walked around after that saying "i killed Ollie". i SWEAR i love animals! but i was like that girl Elmyra on the looney toons haha i just loved them TOO much...

how bout some normal stuff, huh? lol...

7. I loooove long baths after work. i set up the portable DVD player and watch a good chick flick. Prolly my favorite thing ever.

8. i love sushi :) nuff said...

9. We are looking into buying a house this year :D i cant wait!

10. (another way random one) I have SO MANY of those dreams where you fall and then startle urself awake haha i guess im just a bad sleeper lol But it freaks me out everytime :)

Well there u have it. Day 1 down. i feel like such a freak now haha But its fun to think and laugh about those things. I challenge everyone to do this challenge. its a fun way to share things about urself :) Lets see what day 2 brings...

Feelin' Good :)

Whelp, i finished all 3 cycles of the 17 day diet and so in 51 days I've lost 22lbs! i cant believe it! i feel so much better! I'm a dress size smaller, I'm not feeling swollen, i only have 4 more lbs of baby weight to lose, and i just feel all around healthier :) Max and i were busy on Valentines Day so we went out last night instead. i gave myself a free day to eat whatever i wanted yesterday and surprisingly, i didn't eat 2 much. my body actually feels ill when i eat a little 2 much or have even a small amount of sugar! its insane but i definitely appreciate the reaction my body has (good or bad) to the things i eat. the diet has actually changed my whole way of eating. i don't eat beef or pork anymore which i thought it would be hard to NOT eat it cause i usually love it but, my body just cant take stuff like that anymore. i know i cant do this exact diet when I'm going through my next pregnancy but, i know that ill definitely eat better for it :)
But ya, Valentines was awesome :) i love that my husband can be so many amazing things rolled into one perfect guy for me. he's romantic, smart, AWESOME daddy, very handsome, my best friend, shoulder to cry on, he makes me laugh til I'm crying ha ha, and SO much more. And it's OK that Lydia likes him more than me lol i would too :)
After today, I'm jumping right back onto the diet starting with cycle 1 again. i actually cant wait just cause i KNOW it works and i know i can do it now. if i can just get down to my wedding weight, i will be a happy girl hehe I'll keep you posted :)

A few things i forgot

The past few months have flown by! i totally forgot to post some pics that I've had on my camera. Since this blog is kinda like my journal, i cant forget to post things i want to remember and show my kids someday :)
i have one of the best callings :) i teach the 10-12 year old girls at church. i love it. it reminds me of when i was there age and what things were important to me then. i get to teach the girls on Sunday and every 1st and 3rd Tuesday. and to make it even better, i team teach with my cousin (in-law lol) Ema :) We really balance each other out and i feel that we've gotten a lot closer by having this calling together. AND we get to play with and teach the young girls right before they head off to young women. The Tuesday before Christmas, we all went to the Mesa temple to go look at the Christmas lights and we all had so much fun. it was rainy but that didn't put a damper on anything. if anything, it made it that much more fun :)



It was also a lot of fun to have Max and Lydia there. Its really important to me to bring my family to the temple lights every year. mainly cause that kinda where max and i met. We met while setting up the Mesa temple lights in 2007. That was in October. We started dating right after that and by the time they had the lights up for display, i already knew i was gonna marry him :) we actually walked around the looking at the light, talking about where we wanted to take some of our wedding pictures hehe And by that June, we were married :) So we try to make a point to go there every year.


Max and i also have a tradition that we started our first Christmas together where we buy our own ornaments at Michael's and paint them ourselves. I loooove this tradition and i hope its something our kids look forward to when Christmas comes around. We had Lydia do it for the first time and she had a blast haha Very messy but a lot of fun :)
As you can see, she even tried eating the paint lol yummy...

Just a few days left...


I started cycle 3 of the diet yesterday. With the second cycle, i didn't lose 2 much cause its supposed to confuse your body. i only lost 2 lbs for cycle 2. but that's 17 lbs altogether and i think 17 lbs in a month is pretty much amazing :) I'm probably not going to lose very much (if any) weight this cycle cause i have a lot more different things to choose from to eat. But I'm eating SO much better than i used to. i haven't had fast food in awhile and honestly, when i think about it, it kinda makes me sick thinking about eating it. Don't get me wrong, when my family brings home the fast food, i want it..BAD lol but, i know if i did get it, i wouldn't be able to stomach 2 much of it lol
As for everything else going on around here, we are doing pretty good :) We are looking to buy a house hopefully this summer. we cant wait! Lydia needs a permanent room haha She's a little busy body these days. Shes almost walking but not quite there yet. She says grandpa, mama, yum yum (for food), clap (and claps as she shouts 'clap' haha) she calls Max 'mmmah'. we don't know why. shes been doing it since she was 2 1/2 months old lol She also knows how to say a couple of the kids names that i babysit. We love her so much and she's such an awesome personality in our family :) I cant believe shes turning 1 in 2 months! that really flew by huh?

Cycle 1...Done!

That's right! I'm done with the first 17 days of the diet! Altogether, in just 17 days i've lost 15 lbs! Almost 1 lb a day lol It was VERY hard but sooo worth it. Now i'm starting cycle 2 tomorrow. With each cycle, they introduce more foods in your diet so it confuses your body. So with this next cyle, i get shushi! yay! (And some other things i've been craving lol) And with this cycle, im going to be working out a lot. So hopefully the pounds just keep coming off :) If anyone wants to know more or just have any questions about it, (and dont want to buy the book without knowing more) just lemme know :) More updates soon!

The 17 Day Diet


A few weeks ago, my mom and i were watching Dr Phil. They had this other Dr come on and talk about this diet called the 17 Day Diet. We were super intrigued and wanted to try it. They say that in 17 days, you can lose up to 15 lbs! Dr Phil is actually doing a challenge on his show for the diet (i know it sounds weird but, i feel that, if Dr Phil thinks its a good diet i trust him enough that i want to try it lol 2 much trust in him? maybe haha) So we bought the book and i started it on Sunday and...i've already lost 11 lbs! i couldnt be more stoked :) Technically, its not a 17 day diet. Its broken up into 3 cycles. Each cycle is 17 days. The first 17 days are like a detox. it cleans out ur system and they say its as close to starving urself without being unhealthy lol It has been SUPER hard, not gonna lie. i have been SO hungry and SO cranky. i started thinking 'is it really worth it to be thin but be this cranky?' but when i stepped on the scale today and saw myself 11 lbs lighter, theres no way im giving up on it now :) Max said that after the 3rd cycle, (if you havent reached ur goal weight by then then you start over at cycle 1) he was gonna take me out on a nice date with really good food :) hehe and that day happens to be Valentines Day :) I'll keep everyone posted on how this diet goes...
