Never Forget...

Today was a memorial service for Officer Shane Figueroa. It's been almost a year since he passed away. They put up a memorial sign at the intersection where he was in the car accident. I wish i could have gone but i had to work :/ They had it all over the news tonight and it looked like it went really well and a lot of people showed up for it :)

I will never forget that day and im still praying for the Figgs. They are an awesome family. I remember meeting them when i first moved here and feeling welcome to Maricopa right away :) We love them and we will always have them in our thoughts and prayers.

Funny Story...

Well, this is random but it's so funny so i have to share it :)

I had a dream the other night that me and my sister,Hillary, were being chased by Lumberjacks...thats right, lumberjacks lol It was a lot scarier then it sounds (if u wanna hear the whole dream then lemme know lol). They were trying to cut us up with chain saws and Hillary actually WAS killed by them! It was just 2 real!
So, i told my whole family about the dream cause it was so scary. They all thought that it really was scary and they all had their own ways that they would get out of it and what they would do to the lumberjacks. So, last night, my dad bought panda express for the family. Hillary opens her fortune cookie and just looks shocked after reading it. She just starts saying, "no way! no way!". so i took it from her and read it. NO JOKE it said "a wise lumberjack always has a sharp saw" haha! So now she's convinced that she will die from a lumberjack :)

Hence The Bloating...

Max and i are so excited to be able to tell everyone that we are gonna have a baby! We are due around April 15th.
Everyone has told me about all the stuff that happens when ur pregnant but i still thought it wouldnt hit me 2 bad...i was VERY wrong lol For the past 3 weeks i've been insanely sick. It must have been a stupid guy that came up with the term "morning-sickness"! They need to call it "all-day-and-all-night-especially-when-you-just-get-comfortable-sickness". Luckily for me, my amazing aunt, Corinne, is letting me use her pregnancy pillow :) Its 'U' shaped and so it holds your body perfect. I'm in love with it and highly reccomend it :)
My family found out last week about me being pregnant. I'm over there everyday for work and they've slowly figured it out with me being sick all the time. But last night, we were able to tell Max's family :) It was so much fun! When Max told everyone, they just started freaking out and everyone was hugging eachother. My sister-in-law, April, started screaming and then went straight to bawling haha She kept asking us if we were joking :) It was the best reaction we could've asked for.

We couldn't be happier :) We are so excited to have a new addition to the Riecks!

Girls Vegas Weekend!

Okay, so i should have posted this a couple weeks ago but i've been a little busy lol
Well, for my mom's 50th, we had been planning on suprising her with a trip to Vegas for months! So the day that we were leaving, we told her to go pack cause we were leaving in a few hours hehe



When we got to the airport in Vegas, ALL her 9 sisters were sitting on some chairs by the baggage claim :) my mom had no idea they were going to be there so she didnt even notice them sitting there lol It wasnt until we were standing right in front of them, that she even noticed all of them :) The first thing she said to them was, "Are you guys staying?" lol




The weekend was amazing :) We hung out by the pool, went to the movies to see 'the proposal', took some fun pictures, played games, and many other fun things.






It was a great weekend with the girls :)

My "Little" Brother Has Been Called 2 Serve...

My little, or should i say 'younger' brother, Ron has been waiting for his mission call for a couple weeks now. Everyday, he would walk to the mail box and check to see if he got it yet. And everyday he would get more and more upset that he didnt. Well, on Thursday, he came back from the mailbox with a huge smile on his face :) All he said was "i got it". His plan was to go into his room and open it by himself and then, later that night, read it in front of everyone. But before he went upstairs i asked if i could be in the room with him when he opened it hehe he just smiled and said sure lol So we went in his room and I was shaking with excitement. He was shaking pretty bad as he was opening it lol He read aloud that he will be serving in Puebla Mexico! He's VERY excited about it. He reports to the MTC on my dad's birthday, November 11th. So we get a few more months with him :)
I'm so excited and happy for him and i know he will make an awesome missionary. When he sets his mind to something, he definately gets it done :) I still picture him as a little boy and i cant believe he's actually old enough to go on a mission! It's going to be weird not seeing him for 2 years :/ im so proud of my brother :)
Since Ronnie dosent have a blog, i can put up any pictures i want and he cant get mad at me haha So here's a flashback...

It's Been A Whole Year :)

Welp, thats right :) Max and i just celebrated our 1 year anniversary! We spent it at a resort in Scottsdale. It was SO nice and it was definately something we needed lol We decided that it will be something we do every anniversary :)

I cant believe its been a year! in some ways, its seems like its been a lot longer lol I am happier now then i was the day of our wedding :) Its been an amazing year and i know that its only gonna get better with each year. I have the most amazing husband. I fall more and more in love with him everyday. i cant wait to see what else this year has in store for us :)

Lindsay Loo Is Preggo! :D

On Mother's Day, my best friend announced that her and Trent were expecting :) She told me about it a few weeks ago but she didnt want anyone to know until Mother's Day. She was gonna have her brother Tyler (who is on a mission) tell everyone over the phone lol It's been really hard not telling anyone about it but it was SO worth the wait :) She actually videotaped Tyler telling them and i got to see the video yesterday. It was perfect :)
I'm so excited for the both of them! Lindsay and i have been talking about this since we met and we always talked about how exciting this time would be. Lindsay is my bestest friend in the whole world and she is going to make the BEST mom :) I have no doubt that this baby will grow up in the best home with the best family. And to have grandparents like Keith and Lora, this baby will be so loved and super spoiled hehe I'm so excited! I love you tons, Loo :)
