Watching The Weight...

That's right! Time for Weight Watchers! Time for me to buckle down and lose this baby weight (and hopefully a lot more)! The whole time i was pregnant, i would say, "once this baby's out, i will get my butt into shape!". Surprisingly, im really pumped to do it. Today was my first day and its almost over and i didnt have a problem at all :) i think im just so ready to feel like myself again and just feel great. i'm doing Weight Watchers cause i KNOW it works. i did it when i was 17 or 18 and got down to my goal and i just remember feeling amazing. i want that feeling back (cause i haven't felt that in a long time lol). Its kinda embarrassing to admit but i gained almost 50lbs with this pregnancy. When i got home from the hospital, i lost 20 of it and everyday it keeps going down :) thank goodness lol But i definately want to get down to my goal weight again. My best friend, Lindsay, just posted a blog about wanting to lose her baby weight and get into shape and i thought that it was a good idea to just get the idea out there and why not blog about my progress with this diet :) and also, i would have it on my consience if i do bad and have to blog about how im slacking lol
So, there it is world. I'm buckling down :) Cross ur fingers for me!

So, Monday, I had a drs appointment just to see if i was dilated anymore and just to check up to see how my pregnancy was going. My sister Alicia came with me. While i was in there, my dr was checking me and all of the sudden...my water broke! Right away, the contractions started. So, Alicia called Max to meet us at the hospital (he was so nervous on the phone lol it was cute). We got there around 2 or 2:30pm. We had family in and out the whole day just waiting for her to arrive :) I wasnt much fun to talk to in the hospital cause i was having REALLY strong contractions. I wanted to wait to get an epidural cause i didnt want it to slow down my labor. But after a few hours (and much persuading from my family) i got an epidural. It was amazing lol Here are a few pics of people visiting us and awaiting Lydia...(sorry for the picture overload in this post haha)

Max definately didn't like seeing me in pain but he was an awesome coach for me :) It would have been much harder if he wasn't by my side the whole time.




























And after 2 HOURS of pushing and my epidural wearing off (ouch!) she was finally here!















She looves to cuddle and we are definately loving that :)

3 1/2 weeks (or less) to go!

Thats right! We are getting SO excited! My Dr said that it can be any day now! I went to the Drs on Monday and she checked me and im already dilated 2cm (sorry if that's TMI). She said that its all downhill from here :) And it couldn't come sooner haha I've gained so much weight and have so many aches all over my body. Dont get me wrong, its been amazing having her grow in my belly. Its been amazing to feel and see her move. Its something that i will always remember and cherish. But, i just really want her to be here and hold her and just love her :) I also cant wait for Max to hold her and bond with her (besides the talking to my belly he does lol) Today, Lindsay and i made some balsalmic vinegarette pasta cause it helps kick start things lol My dad is also making spicy stuff for dinners. I have had a lot of contractions but they haven't been consistent and they end up just being braxton hicks :/ But i know she will come when she's ready :) I will keep everyone updated...

Fingers Crossed...

So, i had a Dr's appointment on Monday. I told her that lately, I've been feeling HUGE and that my body is taking things pretty hard just in the past few days. She told me that it looks like the baby had a major growth spurt over the weekend. She could've gained about 2 pounds just in the past few days! Ha Ha It would make sense to me if that were case :) She was also telling me that by now, she should been in position to come out but, right now, she's sideways :/ If she doesn't turn in the next week or so, they want to start coming up with other options of doing things (like C-section). I wouldn't mind having a C-section cause i have a lot of family and friends support to help me through the recovery :)We just need to see what our little girl decides to do...(We only have 6 weeks left!)

I got an email from my brother the other day and he's having a REALLY hard time. He would never come home early but he knows that the temptation is always there :( It makes me so sad that he has to be going through all this. He has always been SO excited all his life to go on a mission. And now, to hear about all he has to deal with, it just makes me so sad that i cant help my little brother in some way. I just want to go down there and spend some time with him :( So, if everyone can just keep him in your prayers and maybe even email him to let him know that you are thinking of him, i KNOW that he would love it :) His email is ronald.bremer@mylds.com

Growing Bigger and Bigger (the baby AND me lol)

Before i get to baby stuff i have to talk about how much fun Rob and Steph's valentines party went. They had the theme 'when i was in high school' and u had to come in what you wore in high school. Some people got super creative haha everyone voted for certain awards like 'best dressed' 'best smile' 'cutest couple' and stuff like that. and we also had a white elephant gift exchange which was a lot of fun :) Thanks Rob and Steph! We had a blast!

Well today Max and i had another ultrasound cause the last one, they couldnt get good views of her kidneys. Evereything turned out fine and she is perfectly healthy :) They said that she's pretty short lol. She has pretty big feet (just like her mommy hehe). The last ultrasound that we had, she was still pretty skinny but, shes really chunked out! We always talk about how we want a chuncky baby and we, for sure, have one on our hands. She now weighs about 4 pounds (slightly underweight) but she is still super chubby :) We also went to Max's parents house tonight and we saw some old pictures of Max when he was a tiny baby and she looks SO much like him! its insane! and im totally ok with that cause he was a little cutie.

We are so ready to have her here! Im just waiting to pop lol I feel huge (and probably look it too). I just cant wait to hold her and just to be able to look at her :) We are getting more and more anxious everyday!

Update...

Some people were asking for an update so here it is lol Nothing really new to report. Lydia is a little over 2 lbs now. I had a drs appointment on Monday and my dr said that by the way she was measuring and how big my belly is she would guess that i would be having this baby in the next month or so lol I told her that big babies just run in my family (i was alomost 11 lbs when i was born!) so she said that she would guess that Lydia is gonna be pretty big (its called karma for what i put my mom thru lol) But she said that everythings looking great. She had to use the doppler thing to find the heartbeat (like every appointment) but the baby kept kicking it away from my stomach haha She is SO active. I try to sleep but she wont have it. I can just lay on my bed on my back and you can just see my stomach moving like crazy! its a very surreal feeling. The other night, Max and i were laughing so hard cause we would barely put a finger on my belly and she would kick at it hehe I can tell that we already have a handful on our hands.
So i've been feeling so overwhelmed with thinking about getting everything ready for the baby to come. But my awesome family has pitched in so much! we really dont even really need to buy anything except for food fo her lol My parent's neighbor even gave us boxes and boxes of totally cute baby clothes :) it was so much fun going through them and knowing that our little girl will be wearing them someday :) My mom has been helping out a lot also. in March we are actually going to be moving in with my parents so we can save for a down payment for a house in Maricopa. Its gonna be really sad leaving our apartment but we are gonna need a house for our growing family :) and with my brother gone on his mission now, my parents have a huge empty house so my mom is even setting up a nursery for us :) we wont be there long but we ar so grateful for the fact that they are doing this for us. and without downstairs neighbors, we will be able to get the baby on a regular sleeping schedule when shes big enough :)
Everything's coming together. Now we are just waiting for our little Lydia :)

Our Tiny Baby Girl :)

When i was 18 weeks, i went and had my first ultrasound and we wanted to find out if it was a boy or a girl. but, the baby didnt work with us and didnt show us her "stuff" lol The dr said that she got a slight look and she was 85% sure it was a girl. We were so disappointed not to know for sure.
So today, Max and i went and had a 4D ultrasound. We also brought my neice Leah cause she has been OBSESSED with this baby since she found out that i was pregnant :) She said that she wanted it to be a girl (mainly cause we would name her Lydia and she said thats a lot like her name haha) but that if it was a boy, she would be happy lol So we found out for sure that she's a girl! It was really cool seeing her in 4D and feeling her kick and being able to see her do it at the same time :) She was so cute! She was SO SHY tho! She had her back to the camera almost the entire time and was coverig her face with her hands most of the time. but (after a lot of me rolling over to my side, drinking juice, and doing a little jumping around) we got a few glimpses of her face :)

We already love her SO much! We cant wait for her to join our family. Max is so excited to have a little daddy's girl :) and i just know that she will have him wrapped around her little finger. Max is totally fine with that :)
